01Return Eligibility
You can return an item within 90 days from the delivery date. Because Microry offers two types of lighting — Ready-to-Ship and Handmade-to-Order — return rules vary slightly between them. Here is what qualifies:

Where original packaging matters: Microry brass and copper lighting is hand-finished and heavy. The protective carton and inserts we ship in are the safest way to return your piece. If you have discarded the packaging, please contact us first — we can advise or send a replacement carton.
02The Beauty of Handmade
Because every Microry piece is shaped, perforated, and finished by hand in Morocco, no two are perfectly identical. We want to be clear about what is a feature of authentic craftsmanship versus what we consider a defect.
These are not defects — they are the signature of a handmade piece:
- Small variations in engraving, perforation pattern, or hammered texture
- Subtle tonal shifts in the brass or copper finish from one piece to another
- Slight differences from product photography due to natural metal variation
- Light surface marks from the artisan's tools that catch the light beautifully
- Minor patina or oxidation that develops naturally on uncoated brass over time
What we consider an actual defect
- Cracks, splits, or structural damage to the metalwork
- Electrical components that do not function correctly out of the box
- Missing parts listed in the product description
- Significant transit damage to the body of the piece
- An item shipped that does not match the size or finish you ordered

03How to Request a Return
Follow these simple steps to initiate your return:
Reach Out First
Contact us at Contact@microry.com or +1 (270) 551-1357 within 90 days of delivery. If your item is damaged or defective, please include clear photos and a short description of the issue.
Wait for Instructions
We will review your request within 24–48 business hours and send you return instructions with the correct U.S. return address. Please do not ship anything back until you have received our approval and instructions — packages sent without authorization may not be processed.
Pack & Ship the Item
Pack your piece carefully in its original packaging where possible, with the inserts and protective wrapping it arrived in. Ship using any trackable and insured method — a valid tracking number is required for us to process your refund.
Receive Your Refund
Once we receive and inspect your return (within 72 hours of arrival), your refund will be processed within 7 business days to your original payment method — no restocking fees, ever.
04Return Shipping Costs
Who covers the cost of return shipping depends on the reason for the return:
Defective, Damaged, or Wrong Item
If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or is not the item you ordered, we cover all return shipping costs. We will provide a prepaid return label by email.
Change of Mind
If you simply changed your mind or the piece is not the right fit for your space, you are responsible for return shipping. We recommend using an insured, trackable service.
No restocking fees — ever. Whatever the reason for your return, once we receive and inspect the item, you will receive a full refund of the product price with zero deductions.
05Refund Process
- Once your return is delivered to us, we inspect it within 72 hours.
- Your refund is then processed within 7 business days to your original payment method.
- You will receive a full refund of the product price, with no restocking fees.
- For defective, damaged, or wrong items, we also refund any return shipping costs you paid.
- Depending on your bank or credit card provider, the refund may take an additional 3–10 business days to appear on your statement.
Partial refunds
In rare cases, a partial refund may be issued — for example, if a returned item shows signs of use, has been installed, or is returned with significant damage that occurred after delivery. We will always notify you before applying a partial refund, with photos and an explanation.
06Wrong or Damaged Items
Received the wrong item or something arrived damaged? Simply email us at Contact@microry.com with a photo of the item and your order number within 48 hours of delivery. In many cases there is no need to return it — we will send you a replacement or issue a full refund, whichever you prefer.
How to report a damaged shipment
- Take clear photos of the outer carton and any visible packaging damage before unpacking the piece further.
- Photograph the damaged area of the piece itself in good lighting.
- Email everything to Contact@microry.com with your order number in the subject line.
- Keep the original packaging until your replacement or refund is resolved — the carrier may request inspection.
All Microry shipments are fully insured. You will not be out of pocket for transit damage.
07Installation & Electrical Safety
Microry pieces are designed to be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local building and electrical codes. Improper installation can damage the piece, void the return window, and create a safety hazard.
Important notes on installation
- We strongly recommend having all hardwired lighting installed by a licensed electrician.
- Damage caused during DIY installation is not covered by our return policy.
- Modifications to the wiring, socket, or finish void the return eligibility for that piece.
- If you are unsure how to install a piece, please contact us before attempting it — we are happy to advise.
08Non-Returnable Situations
While we accept the vast majority of returns, there are a small number of cases where a return cannot be processed:
- Items returned more than 90 days after delivery.
- Items that have been installed, modified, or altered from their original condition.
- Items returned without prior authorization from our customer care team.
- Items with damage caused after delivery (handling, installation, environment).
- Pieces that have been intentionally aged, painted, polished, or otherwise modified by the customer.
If your situation is unusual or does not seem to fit cleanly into any of the categories above, please contact us. We resolve nearly every return case in the customer's favor when there is a genuine concern.
09Exchanges
We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different size, finish, or model, we recommend returning the original piece for a full refund and placing a new order separately. This gives you the fastest path to receiving the piece you actually want, without waiting for two shipments to cross paths.
10Order Cancellations
Order cancellation rules depend on which type of piece you ordered:
Ready-to-Ship orders
Can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order is dispatched (typically within 1 business day of order placement). Once your tracking number is issued, cancellation is no longer possible — but you may still return the piece under our 90-day return policy after delivery.
Handmade-to-Order pieces
Because production begins immediately after your payment is confirmed, cancellations are accepted within 24 hours of order placement. After 24 hours, materials have been committed and our artisans have begun work — at that point, cancellation is no longer possible, but the piece remains fully covered by our 90-day return policy once it reaches you.
