Microry LLC is the direct maker of every lighting piece sold on microry.com. We do not resell other brands. We do not import factory-finished products. Every piece you see on our website was crafted, shaped, and finished by hand by our own artisans in Morocco — for you, after your order.
This page explains exactly how our lighting is made, where our materials come from, and the standards we apply to every piece that carries the Microry name.
01We Are the Maker
Microry is not a marketplace, a dropshipper, or a reseller of imported goods. Microry is the maker.
Every lamp, sconce, pendant, and floor light sold on microry.com is produced directly by our own workshop in Morocco, by artisans who have spent decades — and in some cases, generations — mastering traditional brass and copper craftsmanship.
When you order a Microry piece, you are not receiving something pulled from a third-party warehouse or imported in bulk. You are receiving a piece made specifically for you, by named craftspeople, using techniques that predate industrial manufacturing.
What this means for you. Authenticity is not something we have to verify with third-party paperwork — we hold every step of the process. From the brass sheet to the finished piece on your wall, the supply chain is one workshop long.

100% Handmade
Every piece is cut, shaped, perforated, engraved, and finished by hand. No CNC machines, no factory automation, no mass production lines.
Crafted in Morocco
Every Microry piece is produced in our own workshop in Morocco — the heart of centuries-old brass and copper traditions. Never imitations from elsewhere.
Direct from Artisans
No middlemen, no third-party suppliers, no mystery sourcing. The path from raw brass to your door is one workshop long.
Solid Brass & Copper
Real, solid metals — never plated steel, never resin imitations. Each piece develops its own natural patina over time, the hallmark of authentic material.
03The Materials We Use
The integrity of a Microry piece begins with the integrity of its materials. We work only with traditional, durable, naturally beautiful materials — never with shortcuts.
Solid Brass
The foundation of most Microry pieces. Sourced from established Moroccan brass mills, shaped by hand, and finished in a range of patinas — from polished gold to deep antique bronze.
Solid Copper
Used on select pieces for its warm tone and beautiful natural aging. All copper components are solid metal, not plated, so the color goes all the way through.
Natural Parchment
Some wall sconces and pendants incorporate genuine parchment shades — hand-stretched onto brass frames in our workshop, producing a soft, diffused glow.
Hand-Blown Glass
Select pieces incorporate hand-blown glass elements sourced from artisan glass-makers — never machine-pressed imitations.
U.S.-Standard Electrical
All electrical components — wiring, sockets, switches — are sourced to meet U.S. residential wiring standards, ensuring safe and compatible installation in any U.S. home.
Traditional Patinas
Our finishes — polished, brushed, hammered, aged, blackened — are applied by hand using time-honored methods, not factory-applied coatings.
04How Each Piece Is Made
From your order to your door, every Microry piece follows the same five-step traditional process — by hand, in our workshop in Morocco.
Cut
Solid brass and copper sheets are hand-cut to size.
Shape
Pieces are hammered, rolled, and formed into shape.
Perforate
Traditional patterns are hand-pierced into the metal.
Engrave
Decorative engraving is added by hand, one mark at a time.
Finish
Wiring is installed, patina is applied, and the piece is quality-checked.
This is why a Handmade-to-Order Microry piece takes 15 business days to produce — and why no two pieces are perfectly identical. The small variations from one piece to the next are not flaws; they are the proof of an entirely human-made object.

06No Imitations, No Compromises
To be absolutely clear about what Microry will never sell or pass off as our own:
- No mass-produced factory imitations of handmade pieces
- No drop-shipped products from third-party suppliers
- No plated metals presented as solid brass or copper
- No resin, plastic, or synthetic substitutes for traditional materials
- No unauthorized copies of other designers' work
- No relabeled goods from anonymous manufacturers
Our promise. If a piece carries the Microry name on its product page, it was made in our workshop, by our artisans, using the materials and methods described on this page. There are no exceptions.
